AI Without the Hype is not about AI
Someone messaged me last week. She had just built her own website. Done, live, working. And she was about to keep it quiet, because she was afraid of what people would think if she put herself out there.
I told her there was no reason to hide it. The fears are not real, do not feed them. You did the thing. You have the expertise. Let people see it.
That exchange is the whole reason this exists.
Because the name is a little misleading. "AI Without the Hype" sounds like it is about AI. It is not. It is about her, and about you, and the thing you keep postponing.
Everyone has one. The product you almost built. The site you almost launched. The idea you talked about for two years and never tested. You did not skip it because you were lazy. You skipped it because it needed a team you could not hire, a budget you did not have, a skill you never learned. And you skipped it because nobody believed in you, and somewhere along the way you were told to be like everybody else.
Let's end this today.
Because the part that stopped you is the part that changed. Not the loud version, the quiet one. For the first time, one person can start the thing alone: build the site, ship the product, test the idea, without the team, the budget, or anyone's permission. And imagine what happens when a whole community of you starts building together. You become my favourite word, borrowed from Vishen Lakhiani. Unfuckwithable.
The tool is the how. You winning is the why.
I care about this for a plain reason. Twenty years ago I started out with no mentor, and every time I asked for feedback or a thought, I got dismissal or rejection. Nobody showed up to help that guy. So this is the help that did not show up, turned around and pointed at you.
I am not going to stand on a stage and perform expertise. There is no course here, no call to book. I am a curious person who has been building things for a long time, working out the right side of AI out loud, with the room, and handing you what works as I find it. When I get it wrong, you will see that too.
Here is what I actually want. To watch you start the thing you kept postponing, and have it work. For you to learn the part of AI that helps you build, not the part that gets sold to you. And for that to point you back at your own ideas, the ones you quietly stopped taking seriously.
I am not promising you will get rich. Anyone who promises that is selling the exact thing this refuses to be. What I told her is truer: your CV is just as strong in three months. You lose nothing. You can only win the life you kept putting off.
So start. Badly, if you have to. Start anyway.
I want to see you win.
